Enfin Polestar in Paris
A happy ending for Polestar (Geely group), with the company obtaining an agreement with Citroën and DS (both brands of the Stellantis group -formerly PSA-).
Citroën and DS sued Polestar in 2019 for its emblem with the 2 opposing ‘chevrons’ that are too close to their famous ‘chevrons’. The court did not follow the contrefaçon argument, but in 2020 stated that the Polestar logo misused the famous Citroën/DS-brand heritage.
As a result, Polestar was denied access to the French market!
It was only after Polestar entered into a contre-attaque that the parties sat down to reach an agreement. Polestar can now finally conquer France.
